Unorganized with long waits. slow and unfriendly. Clerks are not the shapest. do not go there!
The CVS pharmacy on Cordova in Santa Fe is the most unfriendly pharmacy I have ever been to. About a year ago, one of the pharmacists (who isn't there any more) was literally mean to an older lady customer. I was in shock of how he spoke to her. Now, as of 5/2013, there are two older pharmacists that are hideously rude and unfriendly. I have moved most of my scripts, but still have one or two to go (unfortunately.). I have seen multiple negative, borderline hateful things said from behind the counter there, but most recently, the main pharmacist (as listed on the picture board) responded to a lady who asked, "Do you know where the bandages are?" (I can't actually remember if it was bandages), but he looked right at her and said very very rudely, "No, I have no idea where the bandages are!" And that was it! No one watching from behind the counter, no one said anything else to the woman. Finally, another customer went to the woman and helped her. I was in line for 20 minutes already so I didn't, but I'm sorry I didn't offer to help. Once I dropped off my script, said I would be waiting for it (they seem to get it done quicker if you wait) and in about 30 minutes I walked to the pharmacy and the guy behind the counter said, "you left, so I didn't feel your prescription." I said that I had been waiting right outside the door and he said, "Too bad." I got the main corporate number and called and complained to supposedly the main pharmacist manager of the entire company. I also complained to the store manager who must not have anything to with the pharmacy, but the store manager was friendly. One last thing, even at the other CVS pharmacies, they talk about how horrible and mean the Cordova store is! They said they're even unfriendly to them at the other stores! I hate going into that store.
This pharmacy is the worst! We went there because we had to when no other pharmacy in town had any insulin for our dog. We have gone in several days after a prescription was called in and had to wait for it to be filled. I went in today after my wife called and they said the prescription would be filled by 12:30. I get there at 12:25, prescription isn't ready, they tell me there are a couple ahead of mine. I wait right in front of them for 25 mins before I'm so ticked that I go back up to the counter, and , oh, it's right here, it's been ready. Then why did you make me wait for 25 minutes and fill another walk-ins prescription before mine? WTF??? These people could care less about customer service or any promises they make. Don't waste your time and money on this horrible pharmacy!! Follow up: got home, opened prescription and the pharmacist had substituted a different type of insulin that is not typically given to animals and did not inform me in any way while I was there. We called the pharmacy about it, they told us it was what our vet ordered, but when we called our vet, he had just asked them to refill previous prescription and had not changed the type of insulin at all. We will never enter CVS again!!
