This place has one of the worst customer services ever. The eye doctor was great and did an excellent job, they have a great selection of frames, but none of that matters when the people who work there (John to be specific) are rude and unhelpful. I have insurance that covers my eye exam and I only pay a small co-pay. I've been paying the same $20 co-pay for years! I went to get my regular eye exam for the first time here and I was told that my co-pay was $42. I called my insurance to make sure I was correct and I was correct. They asked me to get the provider to call the provider line to sort it out, but John refused to call or even talk on the phone when I had a representative on the line. His job is to deal with insurance, yet he refused to call and straighten out my insurance, and refused to offer an alternative solution. (remember, I have had a $20 co pay for years on my insurance, and never had an issue) He was EXTREMELY RUDE and by the end of it, I was shaking and walked out without my prescription. I wasted an hr of my time there, and I will NEVER GO BACK ever.

I went to optivision of ithaca to get an eye exam and some new glasses. It had been about 4 years since my last eye exam, so I figured it was about time. The staff over the phone was a little brusque, but I had no trouble getting an appointment the next day. Dr. Bohdan was also a little brusque, perhaps efficient would be the right word. However, his exam was thorough, and had all the expected components, minus dilation of my pupils (which was a surprising lack). He seemed to know his business. The selection of frames for new glasses was impressive, though it must be said that there didn't seem to be any cheap options. The staff were helpful and efficient in taking care of getting the frames and lenses figured out. I have yet to receive the glasses (my appointment was very recent), but if they are high quality, this review will stay as it is. There was nothing exceptional about the place, but they seemed to be a very competent shop. I would go back there, if I have the need.

These ppl are rude and unprofessional. Very unhelpful. They claimed a problem with my glasses was unsolvable, so I went down the street to Cayuga Optical. They fixed it with a smile.
