Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center

Although RRMC medical staff are wonderful and treat my mother kindly when she has to stay during extended periods of time,(that's the only reson why I gave this three stars) I felt the need to bring this to other's attention. In the E.R. Doctor Juarez made assumptions towards my mother, a terminal patient, that I don't appreciate. He also tried perscribing her a medication that would have killed her. He did not explain any test results and made the assumption that she was there seeking only pain medication. My mother was scared, and completely humiliated.
My overall experience with the urgent care was ok..however I had to be sent from the urgent care doctor across the hall to get a quick x-ray and I must say I was absolutely not impressed or happy with my experience. In the lab area where you check in there are 3 girls sitting at the desk all of whom were chatting as I walked up. Instead of stopping their talk to help me one of the girls (younger blonde with glasses) turns to me and says "we will be right with you" and then turns back to the other girls and finishes her story. As if that wasn't rude enough, I finally get checked in and while I'm sitting in the waiting area I can audibly hear all the girls behind the desk talking crap about nearly every patient they take a call from and talking about how "pissed" they are at their friend and texting on their phones etc. I was floored that they behaved this way in front of patients in the waiting room. It was extremely non professional and I will be sure to tell everyone I know that they can expect crappy service from these ladies behind the desk in the lab/radiology area. So in conclusion I had an overall good experience but I would absolutely NOT recommend the receptionist or whatever they are in the lab department.
Our son had a stroke at the age of 32. Four strokes to be precise. I cannot tell you how devastating it was to see your son, a vibrant young man, who couldn't even walk by himself. Hours after his stroke, the staff was working with him to get him moving using a walker. We (our son and our family) were all surrounded by compassion and patience from the Doctor and all the staff throughout his stay. I work in the medical field and was blown away by the wonderful care, by all the staff and by their words of great encouragement. I came back to my job and discussed how we could implement that same level of care. The Physical Therapist (Thank you so Much) and the doctors discussed realistic expectations with hard work from our son and his coach (his wife-God Bless her), Three months later he is walking without a cane and able to hold and play with his 4 month old daughter. He is not 100% yet but, he is still healing. If, you were to ever have need to take your loved one, Rogue Valley Medical Center is the place! God Bless you all!
My brother and ex-fiance both went in here for various reasons. The staff here are excellent and curteous. The doctors are great at what they do. Thank you for taking care of my loved ones!
