Arise Austin Medical Center

I had bi-lateral knee replacement surgery at Arise in late September of 2013. Since I had both knees done at the same time, I was in their hospital for 4 days before being allowed to go home. During the entire time I was there I was well cared for by the Doctors and Nurses. I had large, spacious, private room....which is what everyone gets...and was very comfortable during my stay. I can't say enough about the billing department as well. They have been very helpful in keeping everything straight and making sure that our bills were correct in accordance with our Insurance company, who was problematic through the entire thing. Hopefully I won't have to have anymore major surgeries like this one....but if I do I will be trying to have the procedure done at Arise Medical Center.
We are writing to tell you how grateful we are for the excellent care provided our Mom; Evelyn, before, during, and after her knee replacement surgery. The team assigned to our Mom's care quickly eased our fears; by their competency and the compassion shown by them. Their words and actions were so reassuring, they made us feel as those they were a member of our family. The work of a care provider is so important and plays a major role in the recovery process and the team at AAMC were a blessing to us. Please accept this heartfelt thank you to Steven and Paula; Mom's nurses, to Steve; Mom's Physical Therapist, and to Deb and Eli; Mom's techs. May God richly bless you for your hard work and loving care. Sincerely Charlene and Rhonda
In December 2013 I underwent surgery at Arise Austin Medical Center. From pre-op to discharge, everything was great! I was contacted prior to surgery with my cost that would be due the day of surgery. I was also called prior to surgery for pre-op questions. On the day of surgery, I was checked in and escorted to pre-op promptly where a kind nurse got me ready for surgery. Dr. Lima, my anesthesiologist, and the nurses were great and explained everything. In recovery, my nurse was helpful and even played along with my medicated humor. In the weeks following the surgery, I was contacted a few times by my recovery nurse to check on me. The staff and the experience was outstanding and in the future, should I need additional surgery, I will return.
I recently had x-rays done at Arise. Check in was easy and the tech was very nice and explanatory throughout each image. I left the facility with the CD of my images as well. It was nice not having to worry whether my physician would get the images before my follow up appointment. I'll definitely return if I need other services!
I will never even go into this building again, ever. Nightmarish experience following back surgery. There is not enough space in this box to list all the awful things about this place. If you have to have surgery and are given a choice, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE. Seriously I still have nightmares.
