Castle Dental
Reviews
The staff and dentists are great! Top of the line equipment and the office is clean and appealing. The only reason I did not give it a "loved it" was what sicko can honestly say that about a dentist visit and I do think they take a little longer to get you in and out the door when you have an appointment. Would highly recommend if you need a dentist.
I went to Castle Dental because it was close and should have well qualified people. As a plus, it was SUPER clean and the staff was SUPER friendly. Thats the good.... and now for the negative of this review. I went in for a checkup and regular cleaning, my insurance would cover all but $18. Well, I go in and get the XRays. I then talk to the Dentist who says "look at how your teeth slant, I can tell you have never had braces" Fact: I had braces for over 4 years, I correct her. She then goes to explain that I have cavities and points to spots on the XRays. Fact: I know how to read an XRay, and no, I dont actually have cavities (not to mention 10 months ago a different dentist said I didnt). She then continues with how I have 3 fillings that need to be replaced with better newer fillings because they will for cavities. Fact: my fillings are find and well sealed by the picture in the XRay. She then tells me I have severe gingivitis and I need a prescription mouthwash. Fact: I dont, or one of the two dentists I have seen in the last 10months would have mentioned it. I then get to talk to the dental hygienist who insists she can not perform a regular clean on my teeth until I have a deep clean on one part of one tooth. This same hygienist also told me I eat more on the right side because Im clearly right handed. Fact: Im left handed and favor the left side of my mouth. The receptionist then gives me the total. I would need $1200 worth the work (my insurance would cover about 50%) I explain I dont want the additional work at this time, just the regular cleaning (its not that I dont have the money, I just find it absurd they are the ONLY dentist that feels I need this work) and she then says they wont do that. She refused me service of a regular cleaning until I paid for the additional work. Now, its not that I was the only one needing all this additional work EVERY patient in there needed additional work before they could get basics done! This place is clearly in the business of making money and not in the business of providing people with healthy teeth. When all you are doing is upselling the crap you have around your office that came from drug reps, that is disgusting. What has happened to the dental business where they fixed what you needed????? I would NEVER EVER return here. I want everyone to know that when you go, its like buying a car and being told you need all this extra crap, but when you say no, you dont get the car. Dont waste your time with these money grubbing hacks. Go to a dentist that actually gives a crap about your teeth not additional profits.
Dr. Kelin is the best, most practical dentist we've ever been to.
Great people and great care
