I just moved into the Denton area and was experiencing problems with a root canal site (by a different dentist). I went to Southridge because they accepted my insurance, and I'm just unimpressed overall. The place smells so strongly of walmart-bought room freshener it made me want to choke. The dental assistants were uninterested in hearing about my symptoms and seemed disgusted to even look at the problem area. When the Dr. Dunson FINALLY came in, he looked at my tooth for about 30 seconds, mumbled something to the assistant, and left. She sent me away with a prescription for an antibiotic and told me to come back in a week to "talk about pricing and options." (For what?!) Well, I went back and it was the same story -- rude assistants, 30 seconds with Dr. Dunson, and still no direct communication. Sent away with another week's work of prescription antibiotic and told to make another appointment to "discuss options." Needless to say, I didn't go back. They wouldn't even take the time to discuss with me what the PROBLEM was, let alone my treatment options! They just kept scheduling new appointments. Lastly, although this may be irrelevant to the service, they have a DEER HEAD hanging on the wall! Who does that? I'm a vegetarian and it's not pleasant to lean back and look up at the remains of hunted wildlife.
