I went to Dr Creed to have a fatty tumor removed. - Simple procedure- no big deal. 2 months later my arm is worse then before the surgery and now with a horrific scar. I wish I could figure out how to upload a photo so you could see how bad it looks. I went this morning to speak with her and her resolution was for me to see a neurologist for the nerve damage and a plastic surgeon for the scar--- Be afraid--- very afraid.
So normally I don't write reviews for places unless the experience is extremely horrible or "going-out-of-the" fabulous! In the case of MCA Cosmetic Dermatology Center it was the latter - I've been there twice now and can easily say this place is the most professional, cleanest, best value out there in this industry. Upon entering I was greeted with a smile from the front ladies and noticed how they were respectful towards the elders in the waiting area as well. The doctor that operated on me (Dermatology) took her time in explaining to me what she was going to do, how it went after she was done, and what are the next steps. She event stayed afterwards to answer any questions. My 2nd visit was just as good as the first one. I think the ease with which they coordinated all the insurance hassle and coordinated my appointments was the best part! I'd highly recommend this place. Best value in town.
I went in to have my lips looked at because, after using a mint lip balm, my lips burned and became very irritated. My theory was that I was allergic to the lip balm, but I also thought it could have been an infection of some sort. (I have a cat, and she likes to give me kisses while I'm sleeping.) PA Foster looked at my problem for about 5 seconds, immediately gave me an answer without reason or any detailed information, and left the room. He spoke for about a minute, not giving me a chance to ask any questions or say anything at all. I don't feel comfortable with his diagnosis, seeing as the possibilities were not explored and he gave me no explanation. Paid $70 for an office visit that mostly consisted of filling out paperwork and waiting. The nurses were not helpful, either. Since I still had questions after the PA left, I asked the nurses, who seemed to have very little knowledge. I would not recommend this clinic. Also, he prescribed me Desonide, which is a corticosteroid and should not be ingested. This was to go on my lips, and he did not mention anything about being careful with it or how I should use it or anything. Along with this ointment, he prescribed me antibiotic. Since I am allergic to Amoxicillin, he prescribed Cephalexin. He told me it's a cousin of Amoxicillin and that I may be allergic to it, as well, so if I broke out, I'd have to stop and take Benydryl. Why couldn't he just prescribe a different antibiotic?
I don't understand all of these negative reviews, I have been using this doctor's office since I was young and the service has been nothing but kind, courteous, and professional. Dr. Levins is an excellent and friendly doctor who cares a lot about his patients. I will never go anywhere else for my medical needs.
I saw Dr. Tenaro for the first time recently and she was excellent! Very thorough and helpful.... and I was in and out on time. She was prompt and friendly at the same time. I recommend this clinic. I also saw esthetician, Erika Beltran, for a facial and she was also thorough. Good experience.
