My wife went in for a consultation appointment with Dr. Brock to consult for a surgery. She liked him well enough, but on the way out the staff demanded that she pay for her visit entirely out of pocket, even AFTER admitting that they were fully aware that our insurance was paying for it at 100%. They assured her we would receive a prompt refund when they received their money from our insurance. TWO DAYS (not a typo) later our insurance cut them a check for the full visit amount, it has now been over a month and despite numerous calls we have still not received a refund. Their manager is always "unavailable" when we call and has never once returned our calls. Our insurances are covering her surgeries at 100% as well, but we have cancelled all her appointments at this place in favor of an office that doesn't demand that their patients LOAN them money; which they then promptly steal. I'm sure the surgeons are reasonably competent, but don't believe them for a second when they say they will refund you any money you are owed after your insurance pays them in full. If you are uninsured, I'm sure it's no big deal. But if you have any insurance at all, or stellar insurances (as we do) go somewhere else before these people have a chance to double dip on you.
Both my husband and I went in for surgery (2010). I went in for wisdom teeth extraction (all 4) and my husband went in for a bone graft. The surgeon and facility is top rated. However, the service is absolutely horrible. There is NO follow up care - you have to ASK for the appointment and you have to ask the "correct" questions. My husband reminded them that he was allergic to the antibotics 3 times prior to the surgery - he was still given the same antibotic that he was allergic to in the perscription!!! That is incompetence! Payment is always UPFRONT (full) AND they file the claim at their LEISURE (why would they hurry for you? And stuff is always "lost"). They assure you that if the dental insurance doesn't cover the procedure, then the medical will. And guess what? Neither of the insurance is paying for the $3000+ bone graft implant. Their response - it's your insurance (i.e. we got our money - your own problem). On top of this, they OVERCHARGE you even if the insurance has set the rate: Actual Charge $950 Insurance Stated Charge $538 We are STILL in the process of getting this issue resolved. Service is amazingly bad for the high cost (both in $$$ and time). You'd be spending more time on the phone with the office than the procedure itself. We'd not go back. Do your own research - there are many other reviews just like mine. The only reason we went there was because of our long time dentist recommendation (whom now have stopped referring them due to the numerous complaints).
Had a wisdom tooth extracted. The wisdom tooth took the place of a previuosly extracted molar that later received a root canal and a gold crown. These guys extracted my gold wisdom tooth and would not let me have it. Said "we cant do that anymore" BS Then they prescribed 10 pain pills that I made last for 3 days. When the pain was not completely gone on the fourth, they refused to prescribe anything else and said to take 4 advils. I understand the pain pill problem we have in this city, but are you serious? Great job-I feel robbed of my gold, but at least I am drug free.
Dr. Bachoura was wonderful. I had gone to my dentist to have my wisdom teeth removed and after pulling the top 2 he ran into a little problem with the bottom. He had known they were impacted and I assumed he had done all his research. However, after 10+ numbing shots and many tears he realized he could not finish the job. He scheduled an emergency appt the following morning for me with Dr. Bachoura. Going in fearful and in great pain, Dr. Bachoura took wonderful care of me as well as the ladies in the office. He explained everything in detail and I felt very comfortable. When I returned for my post-op exam I was happy to hear that everything was healing properly. I would highly recommend him to any family or friends as well as return to him should I need anymore oral surgery. I can not say the same for my dentist. :-)
