Dr. Hoffman is awesome! I've always said the best professionals are those who love what they do, and that's him! It's obvious that he takes pride in his work and has a passion for it. If I ask a question he'll stop what he's doing to answer it for me. I, like many others, don't like going to the dentist but honestly Dr. Hoffman makes the trip less painful! I would recommend him to anyone!

So here is my experience with Carus Dental. In one phrase- they CHEAT their patients. Let me tell you how they tried to “DOUBLE Charge”. They charged “Me” and “Insurance” for the same services. I went for my periodontal cleaning and after I was done- they told me that my insurance does not cover the service. SO I paid- because you trust your dentist. I was bummed and told them next time I don’t want to get it done if it is not covered by insurance. After a month- I get a statement for my insurance – they charged them for the same services. So here is the interesting part. I called them and the lady who usually picks up the phone – said that she handles the billing too and when I asked her that why I was being charged when you charged my insurance- she was very firm and rude and kept dodging and throwing terms at me. I still was not clear but hung up. I called my husband and couple of hours we called again. We get the same rude lady and this time my husband confronted her about how the statement specifically says Patient Responsibilty 0 and she completely did 180 degrees and within seconds processed the refund. I did ask her why she was giving me a workaround when I called earlier- and she said she did not have the information in the system- some Bullshit. DON’T GO THERE. FOR ME CARUS DENTAL is just trying to ROB YOU!!

CARUS Dental aka Longhorn Dental in Round Rock, TX uses an incompetent billing department that regularly over-charges patients, files insurance claims incorrectly and violates HIPA rules on patient confidentiality.
