Providence Holy Family Hospital

I was a patient at Mayo Click in Scottsdale AZ. It is the top-of-the-line care you can get. Fast, efficient, respectful, best of the best. So I was hesitant to go to any other hospital when I moved to the WA area. I was prepared for the worst. I have to say though, I was very pleasantly surprised! I was a patient of Dr. Deters and I had to have lithotripsy. I was so impressed with the staff at Providence Holy Family Hospital. The care was exceptional and it was as good as Mayo Scottsdale. I will absolutely recommend it to everyone and I am breathing easy because I found a fantastic hospital in E. Washington!
had a blood transfusion done at the Providence Holy Family Hospital in transfusion center at 5633 N Lidgerwood St.Spokane, WA 99208. Everything started out relatively well. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful until I asked for the food (because I was transfused about four hours plus time for the procedures pertaining it), a bowl of vegetable soup and a turkey sandwich. It took more than an hour until I finally got the food after reminding certified nurse’s assistant about it a few times, and finally when I got it, the food tray was spotty and not clean, later came sandwich which was just two slices of white bread with slice of turkey in between and nothing else, and when I expressed my discontent why took it SO LONG to prepare bread with turkey, the infusion center staff wasn’t happy about it. Later when the transfusion was done, the certified nurse’s assistant(her name is tony or tonya or sound like this ) remove the IV needle while talking to her earpiece and spill the blood doing so on me. I had to tell her to clean it properly and her eyes widened with displeasure though she didn’t say anything. Then the registered nurse took care of me as he was supposed to do he was trained to perform those procedures. Imagine how I felt as a patient when I expected that staff should be familiar with standard precautions and infection control and plus, everybody should perform what is in their scope of practice and expertise. Instead of getting upset with the patient, health care workers need to take responsibility for their actions and carry out the tasks for what they are trained to do, because one they when they end up being treated irresponsibly then it’ll be equally upsetting for them as it was for me.
I arrived in the ER on Christmas Day. I had totally fabulous care from reception to triage to patient room. I was admitted and continued to have total expert care. I have no complaints. This hospital staff was professional and attentive. I could not have asked for better care. thank you.
Very clean. Very friendly staff. Some nurses better than others at caregiving, answering the call button, and listening. Overall, given the circumstances, a good experience.
Holy Family ER just discharged a man without treatment in the middle of an MS Attack because the permanent damage happening to his brain was not "life threatening ENOUGH". They manipulated him into signing things while he was, in his own words, "confused and unable to think". They blatantly lied to the holder of his medical power of attorney with the full OK of the doctor and the head charge nurse. This hospital has no moral compass, they will kill your loved ones. Stay away. I have every intention to post this anywhere potential patients and oversight people might see it in the hopes something gets done about whatever situation causes the staff at this hospital to think this behavior is acceptable. PS. I am sure the person with the tumor is correct. Another doctor informed me they actually wrote something similar to her story in my record after I specifically and repeatedly asked them NOT to give me painkillers the last time I was there. After this experience today though, I am never going back and neither is anybody I care about. A local told me this is the local "meth-head" hospital, I think I will stick with deaconess where they actually treat you like a patient rather than assuming everyone is a drug addict.
