Village Eye Care
Reviews
This is Truly the BEST Doctor and staff around. They have incredible technology here to give you the most accurate prescription. My eyes were examined in March at another "Chain" Clinic and they were not accurate. I came to Village Eye Care with my Fiance and they were AMAZING. From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted and felt right at home. And Believe me, they WILL NOT let you walk out of there looking bad. They were so helpful in helping us pick glasses and then I got color contacts. They taught me how to put them in and pick a color that suited me best. So HELPFUL. I wouldn't dare go anywhere else!
I have seen Dr Mintle for years, and have always received great service. I was even out-of-state and had to go to the ER to get a piece of metal out of my eye. I called the Dr to discuss the procedure because i was a bit concerned that the ER Dr used a busted tongue depressor. Dr Mintle assured me that the procedure was ok and even agreed to see me when i returned to check on it, and again reassure me. I have always had excellent service from the staff, and get all my questions asked. It is nice to see a place offer customer service, and actually care about their patients, very service oriented and my daughters go there as-well. I have recommended many people to see him, and will continue to do so!
Dr. Mintle and his team are professional and very thorough. After seeing two other optometrist, Dr Mintle was able to help me with an appropriate script for my eyes. Both Shelby and Mindy were great when came time to selecting frames that fit my face (and my budget)! Their events promoting new frames are a great way to buy new glasses at a discount. I have recommended Village Eye Care to several friends and will continue to do so!
This was my first visit with Dr. Mintle. I had a good experience with the first part of my visit. Lori was very nice and made me feel really comfortable. Dr. Mintle, on the other hand, came accross as very arrogant. He asked me a question about my contacts. "how long do you keep your contacts before you throw them away?". I wasn't sure b/c it varied. He said, "well now, that wasn't what I asked you now, was it?". A bit parental and rude - He just had an attitude about him that I didn't like. Also, I found Shelby to be quite rude when explaining the benefits to me....contacts vs glasses....she doesn't belong at the front desk....and no one offered to help me with my eye glass selection - so I just left - I would NOT go back to Village Eye Care. WalMart is so much more freindly and they give you a new case and solution, too.
I have not had insurance for eye coverage in a very long time. I was had had my old glasses for years and was concerned about going back in. I was made to fell welcome from the first phone call to the end of the exam. The staff and the Dr were extremely through in all there questions and took the time to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction. I am sad that someone else didn't have that experience like I did, must have been a bad day for someone. But I have taken my son for his exam, and my wife is scheduled for next month while she's on vacation.
