Dr. Shouse is perhaps one of the finest Internists I've met. Trained at UCSF he then became Chief Resident. Subsequently he was in private practice and studied the field of Emergency Medicine where he excelled there as well. Dr. Shouse's success streak continued as he became Medical Director of first one then another Emergency Department, to eventually become a Regional Medical Director of literally hundreds of Emergency Departments. Dr. Shouse is now retired from the regular practice of medicine. Still very active however; he is a consultant to John C. Fremont Healthcare District in Mariposa where he now lives.
