I really appreciate Pioneer Market here is why: Centrally located, sparkling clean store, excellent customer service and stocking clerks everywhere, food closeout deals in many cold cases, excellent deli and meat department, pharmacy knows your name soon. Finally, It's the only market in town and is competitive on sale items and more if one would look. One must remember Mariposa is a "Gateway to Yosemite" town. My wife and I stayed in Mariposa for part of our 2nd honeymoon to visit Yosemite, with the second leg in the eastern sierra's. We figured (judging by restaurant prices) that everything in town would be tourist prices, including the market. Our stay in Mariposa didn't have a kitchenette, but our next destination did. I knew from experience our desitination in the eastern sierras would have exhorbitant tourist prices for groceries, so we planned on buying perishables at Pioneer Market before leaving Mariposa. We bought all non-perishables at a Walmart en route to Mariposa. We were pleasantly surprised to find a full-service supermarket with prices competitive to back home, some items even cheaper than buying at Walmart, Food4Less, or Costco back home.

Got sandwiches for my day in Yosemite along with Gatorade, etc.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of foods and goods. A very enjoyable place to shop especailly for the locals!

Way to bloody expensive. Its pathetic when you can drive to merced for grocerys and still pay less while putting 30 40 bucks for gas.
