Temecula Valley Hospital

My Dad fell and broke his hip recently. Since the Fallbrook hospital recently closed he was sent to TVH instead. So far we have been very pleased with the care he has been receiving. The staff is kind and sensitive to his needs and compassionate in the giving of care. They are very professional and sincerely concerned with his welfare. I will re-rate once he comes back from the surgery scheduled, but so far so good!.
I had to go to the emergency room Christmas day and experienced an issue in the waiting room that I never want to see again. If possible I will contact TVH management and lodge a complaint. So here is the issue: I just came down with a case of pink eye so just needed to get a prescription to help with the discomfort. After I had been in the waiting room about 35 minutes a young man and his wife came in and he was obviously in great pain. He was moaning and groaning and the pain made him throw up several times. When the pain became bad and he could not set he was on his hands and knees resting his head on the chair cushion. Been there and done that with a kidney stone a few months ago. So here is what really upset me. It's a no brainer that he is in great pain yet I watch him sit in the waiting room for at least 45 minutes before they took him back for treatment. In the meantime he was vocally and physically showing great distress and I really felt bad for him. What is wrong with an emergency room where pain like he was experiencing does not result in an immediate response? Otherwise I felt my treatment was as expected and have no complaints
A truly new, top-of-the-line experience, not at all what you wold expect, well as far as hospitals go. The healthcare industry in this country doesn't get much praise these days, if any at all; but after a stay here you will see at least one "positive" to either yourself, or a loved one being injured, or falling ill - and that is the chance that you/they are admitted here for recovery. If every hospital were more like this it would revolutionize the standards & common expectations of hospitals in America.
Have a parent who has been at the hospital 2 times. From pre to post surgery the staff has been compassionate and thorough with every step. I felt that she was in good hands and appreciated all the many extras. The staff went above and beyond to make her comfortable as well as her visiting family.
I had a sick visit about a week ago. Although they were very busy and had no beds available, the nurses and doctors there were very welcoming and very professional. I had a 2hr wait time but understood why it took so long. The hospital was clean and I would definitely go there again in an emergency.
