Rocky Mountain Urgent Care

Reviews

I receive my primary care from Rocky Mountain Urgent Care Family Physicians and although sometimes the wait is a little long, it is well worth it. My copays are always under 3 dollars and my doctor is amazing. The urgent care center itself however seems to employ doctors who are looking to move you in and out as fast as they can and are not truly concerned about the issue.

First, the good: didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes, saw the doctor right after the nurse asked for my history and took vitals, Beth (the doctor) was extremely nice and professional, and answered questions well, gave very clear instructions. I got my test results back very quickly (within minutes) and didn't have to spend any time in the room waiting for the doctor to come in, which is always nice. The bad: I was confused because my copay for an urgent care is usually half what I paid here (it was different because this place bills as an urgent care, while Boulder Medical Center urgent care bills as a PCP), and after I said it was usually the lower amount, she said "well then you need to go to a different urgent care because we bill that way, not much I can tell you". I was pretty stunned, that was rude. Also while I was filling out my paperwork when I got there the entire front staff was talking about food and what was on the waiting room TV the entire time, in loud voices. Seemed unprofessional. Overall I'll probably come back.

Great experience! They let me talk with staff about my injury (for free) to determine whether it was worth admitting me. Excellent staff, excellent service.

Lot of negative reviews, but eh I didn't have a bad experience. I went in because I had a pretty bad puncture wound on my finger. Playful banter w/ the nurse who admitted me. Quick appraisal w/ the doc - and bustled off to the xray w/in minutes. Read my book while I waited for the xray results - and as soon as they came back in they showed me how to clean it so I didn't get a horribly infected finger, and sent me on my way. Can't really ask for more!

While they don't mind making you wait they were pretty nice to me. I am a person with mental disabilities and they were very friendly about it. The nurse was funny and joked around with me and Dr Bos was very friendly and even though I am a smoker she didnt berate me like most doctors do. Sure she said I should quit but didn't do it in a way that said "I am better than you" like most doctors do. the front desk was perhaps a little hectic but they did get their job done. All in all I finally have a doctor so that should say it all.
