JUST KEEP DRIVING TO THE NEXT YUKON OR OKC. or walk with 4 fractures in your back like me...The absolute WORST hospital you saw in that fucked up horror movie, this is that hospital. EVRY SINGLE worker is rude as hell, look at you like a P.O.S. if you dont have insurance( you most likely wont even be seen) They will make it a point to make your visit unbearable, you WILL end up walking out and be pist off that you just sat there for fkcing HOURS to accomplish making your condition worse. This place should be shut down and every worker srry ass worker should have tha fck beat out of them (i reserve the right from legally having to deal with these inhumane fcks for over a decade) and if any of their workers read this, and have an opinion on what i jjst said( the truth) please contact me! Would love nothing more than to adjust your problem.
I took my mother (who used to work there when it was Park View Hospital) to ER tonight. She hasn't been seen there in about 5 years. They never once asked for updated information. When she was FINALLY (an hour and a half later) put in a room the nurse asks about medication. She says she is taking Synthroid. So then she asks my mom if she has hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism... do you usually take synthetic thyroid if you have hyperthyroidism? Then the PA came in and asked what the problem was. She explained that she had lower left quadrant abdominal pain. He informs her he thinks it's probably a muscle strain, but to rule out any other problems he is going to do an x-ray and run some lab. Ummm... pardon my ignorance, but I do believe what x-rays show best is bones, air and fluid. Unless she has a broken bone in her abdomen (which according to my last anatomy class is impossible) or gas (which during the course of the day usually does not stay in the same place), not really sure what he expected an x-ray to show. She stated that it hurt this a.m. when she coughed or sneezed, so he thought it was prob muscle strain from all her coughing... all 6 or 7 times that she coughed. I happen to know the lab tech on duty tonight. She has worked there for years and anyone who has EVER had her draw blood sees her coming and begins to shake. She has a habit of jabbing the entire needle all the way in then digging around to find the vein. Hurts like h@$$. So I tell my mom that we will just go home and she can come to the clinic where I work in the morning and we will do lab there. As we were leaving I stopped by the front and informed them that they would need her updated information. The PA then informed me that he wasn't discounting her pain. REALLY??? I find that interesting. What was he doing? Sounded like it to me. And then he starts spouting that there is a protocol for patients. You don't just start out with CT's and ultrasounds. Hmmm. So instead, you perform several tests that aren't going to tell you a single thing? That is the protocol? You do an x-ray for lower abdominal pain? What, precisely will that tell you? My mom is a lab and x-ray tech, with 40 years of experience in the medical field. I grew up in the field. I have gone to this hospital several times and have always defended it... til now.
If you have a medical emergency,go to the city. Unless you have insurance they won't treat you.
