Going to Fred Meyer in newport is great! Everybody who works there is helpful and friendly...and that includes customer service, no matter what those other two women say. Judging by their rude comments, they are the ones with issues. We have found that the employees go above and beyond the call of duty. The sales are great, the coupons are plentiful and the points for gas are phenomenal! The only thing I don't understand is the prices on the clothing. They are pretty high and they seem to want to play the coupon game to the extreme. why not dispense with the coupon circus and just lower the prices. I bought a cotton top for $45 and followed the instructions for laundering and it shrank about 2 sizes...I had never even worn it! I donated it to Pick of the Litter. All in all it's my favorite place to shop for everything and have found prices on certain items lower than at Walmart!

I love our Freddy's and every employee in it. They were fabulous during the remodel and the customer service woman is the most patient person in the world and always friendly. The woman in the tool dept. is a BIG help and the back door checkers are fabulous. There is always someone to help me when I mess up on the self check out too. Love my Freddy's.

Like the place but hate customer service. When I asked for help because I was charged a price different from an ad, the customer service person told me I was wrong. When I then got the flyer and showed her the ad, she asked me what I wanted. Duh. I had to tell her: the sale price you big dummy. You would have thought it was her own money she had to refund.

Meh, never have enough of the popular items and continually run out and do not carry many varieties.
