This place isn't terrible really. The physicians and staff here are professional and friendly enough. The place is clean and the price is about average. However, I won't be going back after they have had two strikes in my book, for me its two strikes and your out. 1)The first time I came here for my exam it took an act of congress to get the physician to prescribe the type of contacts I had been wearing practically my whole life just because he wanted to push another type of contact. I wear color enhancers and he wanted me to wear these clear breathable things - which ironically made my eyes water and burn so bad I couldn't leave them in for even 30 minutes. Then once those didn't work, he made me wear a trial pair of the color enhancer contacts (that I have worn my whole life basically) for about a week (after they finally shipped in after a week) before he would give me my script. This whole process took at least a month if not more. Wal-mart never gives me this much hassle - it was just completely frustrating. 2) I try to order contacts from the Pearland Eye Clinic website 3 weeks before my contact prescription is up and they CANCELLED my order! They cancelled it because I have to order a box for each eye since they are different scripts and that basically gives me a three month supply which puts me well past my exam date. While I get the concept behind that - it is STILL sheisty. My prescription is not expired yet and I should be able to order a reasonable amount of contacts - 1 box for each eye - its not like I wanted to order a year supply. My script says is expires in January not 3 weeks before that date. If that's the way it is then write that on my script next time. Wal-mart or 1800CONTACTS couldn't care less as long as you order contacts before your expiration date. Anyway, that's why I won't be coming back - too much frustration. I'll just go to Wal-mart where they don't run you through the ringer and cause frustration for something that should be fairly painless.
