Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care

When we were seen by the Doctor, he looked like he had just woken up from a nap. Completely out of it. Didn't introduce himself to us or my son. I told him that my son had a ruptured eardrum in right ear. And that left tube had recently fallen out. That we had just finished 3 different rounds of antibiotics and ear drops to clear up a middle ear infection in right ear. The doctor then looked in my sons ears. Then proceed to ask my child if he wanted the good news or bad news. The doctor didn't check throat, nose or lymph nodes. Dr stated the blood in his left ear was from him putting something in it or something to that effect. Dr said he had to look at the right ear a few times to figure out if the ear was ruptured or not .My son has chronic ear infections. And I stated it was ruptured at the beginning and it was on the paperwork. I would not recommend taking your children to this so called Dr. He obviously doesn't pay attention to the children and has no bedside manner. And made me feel stupid for being concerned for my son. GO to the ER on Schertz Parkway instead!!!!
I took my son in with a fever and sore throat. I was told my portion of the charges were $110, I thought it was high and told her so and she said if I wanted him seen that was the charges. I confired with my husband and went forward with the visit. A nurse saw him, checked his vitals and looked at his throat (NO STREP SWAB) told me he had a cold. Later I was billed and additonal $45, when I called there billing office they told me that I was charged for a strep culture! $235 was the total charge for this visit and I still had to have him seen by another pediatric office where he was swabbed and given a prescription. Stay away!!!
In one week ended up taking all the kids here one at a time. Waiting room was full as it was deep into flu season and allergies were running rampant. Staff was nice, really didn't wait that long. In and out in just under an hour, when one test was negative for strep which both the boys had, they retested for flu and it was positive for our girl. Prescriptions were right on, (Knew what it should be being a nurse) and everyone recovered as they should. Would highly recommend Little Spurs to anyone, Thank You Little Spurs staff!!
This place is great. Hardly ever packed and the staff is always very nice. They have always help my son out at convient hours.
This place shouldn't be called an "urgent" care facility. My wife and I are foster parents and we took our 6 month old foster son to this so called urgent care. When we told them we were foster parents, they asked for our "foster papers." Our foster son is on Medicaid and we have his card that has all the information that any "foster papers" would have. The receptionist actually said, "because it is our policy, we can't see him unless you can give us the papers." We come in with a 6 month old baby who is coughing, sneezing, and crying because he doesn't feel well and all she can think about is wether or not she can get the correct papers. Never once did she try to input the information we gave her with the Medicaid card, but instead focused on the fact that we didn't have the paper she wanted. Then as we left with our sick baby and very irritated, she had the nerve to smile and say, "Sorry..have a nice day!" Please take my advice and never step foot in this place!
